Mazda on Friday built its 900,000th MX-5 Miata, raising the bar on its Guinness World Record for best-selling two-seat sports car. The MX-5 Miata originally set the record in May 2000, when production reached 531,890 units. The Mercedes E63 AMG gets a tweak or three for 2011
The Mercedes E63 AMG debuted at the New York Motor Show last year. Which even in car terms isn’t exactly an age ago. We can’t be sure, but there’s a fair chance that it’s also not much more than six months since the first E63s arrived in customers’ hands in the UK.
It hasn't been sold in the United States for the better part of two decades. Its last Grand Prix victory was in the early 1950s. The reliability of some of its cars can be charitably defined as iffy.
